Savannah Barnett is a program manager for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning. A native of Valley Head, West Virginia, Savannah earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from Case Western Reserve University and a master’s degree in Public Policy from Rutgers University. In her job, she manages continuing education programs, asynchronous online course development, registration support for programs outside of the department and digital badging. Savannah enjoys interacting with people and learning new things every day. She loves to knit, read and spend time with her dogs.

Jennifer Hayes is the director of Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning. A native of Tuscaloosa, Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications and Film and a master’s degree in Human Environmental Sciences, both from The University of Alabama. In her job, she provides guidance and leadership to the CELL team. Jennifer is proud of the variety of programming the team delivers and enjoys seeing learners expand their knowledge and skillset. She has two daughters who love to say “Roll Tide!”

Amanda Bergeron is a program manager for Continuing Education and Lifelong Learning. A native of Tuscaloosa, Amanda earned a bachelor’s degree in Management and a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration, both from The University of Alabama. She is also a certified program planner and certified virtual meeting planner through the Learning Resources Network. In her role, she assists in planning and executing continuing education programs. Amanda’s favorite aspect of her job is meeting the program attendees. Outside of work, she watches cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies year-round.

In her job, she coordinates programs for the Alabama Association of School Business Officials. Anna Clay enjoys interacting with people and learning about them. She also likes to sing karaoke in her car.

A native of Tuscaloosa, Jamie earned both a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Elementary Education from The University of Alabama. In her job, she delivers continuing education programs with area experts, ensures an engaging learning experience and facilitates program and curriculum development. Jamie enjoys meeting new people and working with a great team to deliver quality service. She serves on the Northport City Council and her daughter is a student at UA.

A native of Northport, Jennifer earned a bachelor’s degree in History with a minor in Religious Studies from The University of Alabama in 2012. In her job, she coordinates the registration and testing of insurance exams throughout Alabama, oversees the administrative aspect of pre-licensing classes, creates the proctor files used throughout the state and more. Jennifer appreciates that she can do her job from anywhere with internet access. She is married, has twin girls and enjoys music, reading and video games.

She is also a certified public accountant and a Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional. In her role, she works with the CELL team to design and implement professional development and industrial training programs, executive education programs and continuing education conferences that are offered on campus, online or on-site at workplaces. Mary enjoys building relationships with people and helping them achieve excellence in their careers. She loves listening to music, cheering for the Crimson Tide, spending time with her husband and daughters and making magical moments with her granddaughter at Disney.

In her job, constituents reach out to her for help with event and conference planning, specifically from the UA School of Social Work. Melissa enjoys the CELL team and the communities they engage with and serve. She loves attending as many sporting events as possible and spending time with her partner, their dog and friends.

A native of St. Charles, Illinois, Tyler earned a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Spanish from The University of Alabama. He is currently working on the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority’s Securities Industry Essentials Exam. In his job, he helps coordinate and develop various CELL programs as well as assist with contracts and registration. Tyler enjoys engaging with different types of people and programs and making a difference in the lives of the people affected by their programs.
