{"id":4915,"date":"2021-09-17T19:09:31","date_gmt":"2021-09-17T19:09:31","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/ccswpms01.ua.edu\/online\/?page_id=4915"},"modified":"2024-09-18T14:21:15","modified_gmt":"2024-09-18T19:21:15","slug":"contest-rules","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/ccswpms01.ua.edu\/online\/nomination-for-ua-online-legendary-service-award\/contest-rules\/","title":{"rendered":"Contest Rules"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>UA Online Legendary Service Award Official Rules<\/h2>\n<p><strong>PROMOTION NAME:<\/strong>\u00a0\u201cUA Online Legendary Service Award\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>DATES:<\/strong>\u00a0Starts \u2013 9-19-24; Ends \u2013 10-6-24<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>AWARD IS OPEN TO NOMINEES 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER AT TIME OF ENTRY WHO HAVE SERVED OR ARE SERVING IN ANY BRANCH OF THE UNITED STATES ARMED FORCES.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>THERE IS NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>SPONSOR:<\/strong>\u00a0The University of Alabama Online (\u201cUA Online\u201d or \u201cSponsor\u201d).<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>ADMINISTRATOR:\u00a0<\/strong>Crimson Tide Sports Marketing, LLC (\u201cAdministrator\u201d).<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>PROMOTION PERIOD: <\/strong>Award nominations begin at 0:00:00 AM CDT on September 19, 2024, and ends at 11:59:59 PM CDT on October 6 (the \u201cNomination Period\u201d).<\/li>\n<li><strong>NOMINATIONS:\u00a0<\/strong>Limit one (1) nomination\/entry per person\/email address for the duration of the nomination period. Entries submitted from any person\/email address in excess of the stated limitation will be void. All entries become the property of Administrator and will not be returned or verified. Entries generated by script, macro, or other automated or mechanical means or that subverts the entry process will be void.<\/li>\n<li><strong>ELIGIBILITY:\u00a0<\/strong>Individuals 18 years of age and older at time of entry are eligible as nominees, except for employees of The University of Alabama and members of their immediate family or persons living in the same household. Award is subject to all applicable federal, state and local laws.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SELECTION OF WINNING ENTRY:<\/strong> Entries will be evaluated by a committee within UA Online and a winner (\u201chonoree\u201d) selected during or about the week of October 6, 2024, from among all eligible entries received from nominators. The selected honoree and honoree\u2019s nominator will be notified by email or phone. Failure to respond to the notification of winning within seven (7) days of notification or noncompliance with these Official Rules may result in disqualification and, at Administrator\u2019s sole discretion, an alternate honoree may be selected. Honoree will also be announced on the UA Online website following selection and notification.<\/li>\n<li><strong>PRIZES:<\/strong> The honoree will receive a tuition grant equal to one semester\u2019s classes (three 3-credit-hour online courses) through UA Online. The honoree will also each receive two (2) tickets to the Mercer University vs. Alabama football game on November 16, 2024 and two nights\u2019 hotel accommodations in Tuscaloosa for November 15 and 16, 2024. UA Online also will arrange for travel accommodations, as necessary, to facilitate the honoree\u2019s attendance at the game. No cash substitutions for prizes will be permitted and prizes are non-refundable and non-transferable except at sole discretion of Sponsor. No promise of particular courses or educational offering is stated or implied as a result of the tuition grant award. All taxes and all other costs associated with acceptance or use of the above prize(s) are the sole responsibility of the honoree and honoree\u2019s nominator.<\/li>\n<li><strong>RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND PUBLICITY:<\/strong> The honoree and honoree\u2019s nominator consent to the use of their names, photographs, likenesses and limited biographical information for publicity or advertising purposes without further compensation, where permitted by law. All entrants release Sponsor, Administrator, Crimson Tide Sports Marketing, LLC and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, officers, directors, partners, equity holders, agents, employees, and all others associated with the development and execution of this Award (collectively, the \u201cReleased Parties\u201d), from any and all liability with respect to, or in any way arising from, this Award and\/or acceptance or use of the prize, including liability for personal injury, damages, death or monetary loss. Sponsor assumes no responsibility for any injury, loss or damage to entrants\u2019 or to any other person\u2019s computer relating to, or resulting from, entering or downloading any information or software in connection with this Award. Sponsor and its agents are not responsible for technical, hardware, software or telephone malfunctions of any kind, lost or unavailable network connections, or late, failed, incorrect, incomplete, inaccurate, garbled or delayed electronic communications caused by the user, or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in this Award, or by any human or other errors that may occur in connection with this Award. Submission of a nomination does not create any liability, promise, contract, or agreement (written or implied) by Sponsor or Administrator to any nominee or nominator.<\/li>\n<li><strong>GENERAL RULES:<\/strong>\u00a0The Released Parties are not responsible for lost, illegible, late, delayed or misdirected mail or email or other communications, or for any error in the printing or interpretation of the offer, the administration of the Award, or in any announcement of the winners or prizes. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this contest, in its entirety or in part, should tampering, unauthorized intervention, counterfeiting, fraud, technical failures, or other causes beyond Sponsor\u2019s control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the contest.
