About OLLI at UA

OLLI at UA is a year-round, member-centered, member-led program catered to mature adults. Member participation and volunteerism are the fuels for the success of OLLI at UA. This academic cooperative provides opportunities to learn new things, make friends, travel, and embrace life.

What to Expect

You will enjoy educational courses as well as entertainment through classes, bonus sessions, field trips, socials, special events, and travel opportunities. Courses cover a wide range of topics and are taught by volunteers who share their knowledge and passions. You’ll find no homework, no grades, no required degrees, or age threshold.

As an OLLI member, you may attend courses, social events and field trips at all locations – Birmingham, Tuscaloosa, and Gadsden.

There are a number of courses and events open to the public. We encourage you to attend an open house, or a weekly Bonus course, and try OLLI for yourself. Feel free to bring a friend!
