Counselors
In addition to specifying the requirements of participating schools, principals, counselors, technology coordinators, and others, this manual identifies general policies for this program as well as those for students enrolled in ACCESS courses. ACCESS policies for students are included at the end of this manual. We trust you will find this manual useful as you join us in bringing 21st century technologies to all Alabama students.
Facilitators
In addition to clarifying facilitators’ responsibilities, this manual also includes general policies for this program and policies for students enrolled in ACCESS courses. Facilitators need to be familiar with all of these policies. Their role as the face-to-face supervisor of ACCESS students at the school is critical to the successful implementation of these policies and ACCESS students’ success.
Students
This manual is designed to provide answers to questions you or your parents or guardians might have about the ACCESS Virtual Learning program. It identifies general policies for the program and the specific policies that may be important to you as you register for courses, complete course assignments and exams, and utilize resources needed for course completion.
Teachers
In addition to detailing teachers’ responsibilities, this manual also includes general policies for delivering web-based instruction (WBI) and Video-based instruction (VBI). As an ACCESS Virtual Learning teacher, you should review all ACCESS policy manuals, become familiar with student requirements, and follow all procedures that are applicable to you and your classes. We trust you will find this information useful as you help us take the 21st century classroom to all Alabama students.
